Platform for The People
I. Community Outreach
Most Americans agree on the problems they see in our country, but are divided on reasonable solutions. The two-party system unfortunately emphasizes these disagreements. Sadly the status quo remains unchanged when we focus on what divides us. To solve problems and strengthen our communities, we first need to focus on strengthening our ties to each other.
Coalition Building & Civic Engagement
The Party seeks cross-party endorsements and coalition-building efforts, even when we have just one issue in common. We will work with honest people from all spheres of the political landscape, believing that true reform requires partnering with any individual or organization committed to putting the needs of citizens first. We recognize and respect the differing backgrounds and experience of all citizens. We seek to empower citizens by teaching them to engage their local government and getting involved with organizations that serve local communities. This is the first step in developing local and statewide governance that is truly of and for the people.
Social Impact & Community Growth
Strong communities start with addressing shared challenges together. For example, Pennsylvania’s school tax system, deemed unconstitutional by our state Supreme Court, disproportionately underfunds lower-income districts, yet more money alone won’t fix failing schools. The Party supports school choice in struggling districts and seeks to empower parents with a stronger voice in their children’s education. Schools should involve parents in curriculum decisions, encourage volunteer programs with professionals and retirees for before- and after-school support, and foster community participation to help students build skills for the future.
We champion community-led solutions to addiction challenges, as well. We favor legalization and recovery programs over punishment, aiming for a justice system that protects and reforms, not just incarcerates. This includes mental health support, skills training for inmates, and reintegration programs to reduce recidivism. We back community policing that builds trust and organizations that steer youth away from crime because we value every person’s potential to grow and contribute.
With an aging population and rising dementia cases, Pennsylvania lacks adequate facilities and oversight. We support initiatives to improve staffing in elder care facilities, alongside community volunteer efforts to help seniors stay independent, access care and engage socially. Our seniors’ wisdom strengthens communities, and they deserve dignity and quality of life in retirement. By working together, we can build a future that lifts up each and every Pennsylvania citizen.
II. Constitutional Integrity
The We The People Party of Pennsylvania rises to meet a growing crisis: the erosion of our constitutional freedoms and the betrayal of public trust by an unaccountable government. The Party is committed to restoring constitutional integrity by defending civil liberties, holding our government accountable and preserving national sovereignty. We strive to rebuild a transparent, just and free society where every Pennsylvanian’s voice is heard and future generations are equipped to uphold these principles.
Civil Liberties & Government Accountability
With a Bill of Rights that guarantees essential protections for all Americans, the Party upholds state sovereignty with strong safeguards against federal overreach. We vigorously defend the rights to free speech, to free association, to freedom of religion, to bear arms, and to a fair justice system, as well as freedom from unreasonable search & seizure. Our party stands firmly against any measures that erode these constitutional liberties, and demands accountability for government employees who abuse their power or use their office to pressure private entities to infringe upon these fundamental rights.
We uphold the separation of powers. We support judicial reform to remove partisanship from the justice system and endorse jury nullification as a mechanism for citizens to counter unjust legislation and abusive prosecution. To increase transparency, we will work to allow open recording and public viewing of court proceedings.
We believe voters have a right to know what their government is doing. Consequently, we support efforts to increase government transparency, including the creation of independent review boards and the use of blockchain technology to track government spending and activities.
Our commitment to strengthening America extends to educating our younger citizens, who are our future. We support an emphasis on civics education in schools, and promoting internships at every level of state government, thereby ensuring future generations understand the importance of self-governance.
National Sovereignty & Peace Through Respect
We are dedicated to preserving America’s independence and security by preventing foreign ownership of U.S. land and critical assets. We oppose foreign aid that undermines our economic strength and fuels global destabilization, and call for an end to foreign entanglements and interventionist wars.
The Party further believes that each state has the right to protect its soldiers from being sent into conflicts without Congressional approval, and we support legislation to uphold that right. We further advocate for secure borders under a “tall fences, wide gates” policy, supporting fair and humane immigration and trade policies.
III. Honest Government
The We The People Party of Pennsylvania confronts a government riddled with corruption, where elected officials too often serve special interests and personal gain over the people they swear to represent. This betrayal of trust — fueled by unchecked money in politics, rigged elections, and a lack of accountability — stifles our freedoms, silences our voices, and drains the vitality of our communities. Guided by our core values, we are determined to restore political integrity and government accountability. We aim to dismantle corrupt systems, realign incentives to favor the people, and ensure fair, transparent elections so that Pennsylvania’s government truly reflects the will of its citizens.
Political Integrity
We believe government officials must put the people they serve above all else. Such representatives must strictly adhere to the Constitution they have sworn to uphold, acting with transparency and accountability. We seek to elect politicians who refuse to vote solely for financial or other special-interest benefits. Their decisions should be guided by the genuine needs of their constituents, not the pursuit of political power.
Political Reform & Government Accountability
We The People Party of Pennsylvania aims to restore faith in the U.S. government by dismantling corrupt practices and ensuring that public servants act with integrity. We will realign incentives to hold officials accountable to the American people. We believe free and fair elections are attained only when voters themselves are involved in determining the choices on our ballots.
Our party prioritizes overturning Citizen United and stopping the influx of money that corrupts our electoral processes. We advocate for election reform by making ballot access attainable, preventing lawfare that undermines the political process, implementing voter identification laws to improve electoral integrity, and eliminating gerrymandering that unfairly benefits entrenched political parties. Moreover, we favor allowing all eligible voters to vote in all elections, including primaries, along with a voting method where the majority picks the winner.
We stand for preventing the aggregation of unchecked power within any office or individual. We will therefore pursue term and employment limits for all government members, whether elected, appointed or hired. We recommend prohibiting the trading of securities while in office and support ending pensions and special privileges for government officials, along with imposing a five-year ban on becoming a lobbyist after leaving office.
IV. Economic Opportunity
The We The People Party of Pennsylvania faces an economy where government overreach, corporate monopolies and unfair policies stifle individual opportunity and crush the vitality of our citizens. Burdensome taxes, restrictive regulations, and unequal access to housing and education limit the freedom to prosper, while centralized power and unbalanced trade erode community strength and economic independence. These barriers threaten the promise of the American Dream. We are dedicated to fostering economic freedom and financial reform. We seek to dismantle obstacles to fair competition, restore property rights, and build a workforce where every citizen has the chance to thrive through hard work and opportunity.
Economic Freedom & Financial Reform
The Party supports a free-market economy that minimizes government intervention while ensuring fair competition and equitable opportunities. We support affordable housing initiatives that make homeownership accessible to all. We will work to eliminate unconstitutional zoning and land-use laws that limit individual property rights, stifle community growth, and block paths for the economically disadvantaged to climb the ladder of opportunity.
We support property tax reform. Our party seeks to ensure that working-class Americans are not overburdened by taxes, and we will work to simplify both individual income and corporate tax codes. The We The People Party of Pennsylvania is committed to breaking up corporate monopolies, re-evaluating licensure regulations, and decentralizing economic power. We also advocate for balanced trade and the strategic use of tariffs.
Reinvigorating America’s Workforce
The Party is committed to rebuilding the American Dream by empowering citizens through a robust economy that rewards hard work. We aim to restore the middle-class workforce by recalibrating regulations and incentives to promote sustainable local economic prosperity and embrace emerging industries. Recognizing that a thriving workforce depends on quality childcare, we will work to increase the child and dependent care tax credit. In addition, we recognize that college isn’t for everyone and therefore support vocational training and apprenticeships as viable paths to success.
V. Prioritizing Health & The Environment
The We The People Party of Pennsylvania confronts a pressing reality: individual freedoms, community well-being and the vitality of our natural world are undermined by a system where politicians are swayed by corporate entities that prioritize profit over human health. Government overreach and corporate irresponsibility strip away our right to make informed health choices while unsustainable practices, pollution and toxic chemicals degrade our land, air, water, food, medicine and personal use products. We aim to dismantle the corrupt systems that favor corporate greed over people, ensuring every Pennsylvanian can thrive in a clean, healthy and free society.
Medical & Food Freedom
We champion individual liberty in all aspects of life. We believe that every person has the right to make their own choices, especially concerning personal health. We stand for medical freedom, informed consent and bodily autonomy. Our party will work to remove liability protections for pharmaceutical, biological and chemical industries, along with medical institutions.
We oppose government-mandated healthcare policies, such as public water fluoridation and mandating the administration of vaccines. Our party believes in access to integrative medicine and holistic, complementary health practices. Our commitment to health policy reform extends to addressing conflicts of interest and corruption in biomedical and scientific publishing.
Environmental Responsibility
Our commitment to environmental stewardship is rooted in creating a healthier planet for future generations. We hold corporations accountable for their pollution and ecological impact, requiring them to bear the true cost of environmental damage, especially when their activities degrade air, water, or soil quality. We prioritize responsible cleanup and management of industrial waste to restore contaminated sites and protect communities from harmful pollutants.
In agriculture, we support regenerative farming practices that enhance soil health and biodiversity. Regenerative agriculture not only restores depleted soils, but also helps to sequester carbon, thereby mitigating the effects of climate change. We stand firmly against toxic chemicals and unsustainable farming practices that threaten the environment, wildlife, and human health. We advocate for policies that incentivize farmers to adopt safer, more sustainable approaches to food production, aligning agriculture with ecological harmony.
Green spaces, rivers, lakes, forests and open lands should be preserved for the public's well-being and enjoyment. We are dedicated to safeguarding our natural landscapes, waterways and public lands from reckless development and exploitation. By promoting responsible land management and conservation, we aim to ensure that these invaluable resources endure and thrive, providing a legacy of natural beauty and biodiversity for generations to come.
